JOHN'S
PASS - The pass, cut by a hurricane in 1848, separates Madeira Beach and
Treasure Island. In recent years the pass has become one of the area's
hottest attractions, with dozens of restaurants and shops. On the Madeira
Beach side, power boats, Wave Runners and the jet-propelled rubber rafts,
are available for rent. Johns Pass also is the home port of two cruise
ships that go several miles offshore for dancing, dining and gambling.
